FULL MOON

Easy Full Moon rituals to clear bad energy, reflect, and recharge

Don't underestimate the power of the moon

There are 7 full moons left in 2025, and if you want to lean more into your spiritual side, it’s the perfect time to try a ritual. Don’t let the word scare you - it doesn’t mean you’re committing to a life of witchcraft. Though there are “lunar witches” who use the moon’s energy in their spellwork, full moon rituals can be as simple as journaling, setting intentions, or meditating.

The moon is beautiful, powerful, and ancient. Indigenous communities have used it for centuries to track time, mark seasons, guide harvests, and even support major life transitions. Tapping into that can be grounding, especially when life feels chaotic.

You don’t need tools, experience, or a specific belief system. Just you, the moon, and a little intention, here are some rituals you can try. The next full moon is the Strawberry Moon on June 11.

 Full Moon Ritual Ideas

1. Moon Bathing

Go outside under the moonlight or sit by a window. Let yourself soak in the energy. Think of it as recharging your body like a battery. If you can go out in nature, that would be great, but a lot of the full moons peak late at night, so make sure you stay safe.

2. Write + Release

Write down what you want to release (bad habits, fear, toxic relationships). Burn the paper safely, tear it up, or bury it as a symbolic act of letting go.

3. Cleanse your space

Burn some sage, palo santo, or incense - or use sound bowls if that’s more your vibe. Crack a window and let all that stale energy move out.

4. Take a ritual bath

Add salts, herbs, or a few drops of essential oils to the tub. Light some candles, play music, and let yourself just soak. Set an intention, and let anything that needs to go, go.

5. Gratitude + journaling

Full moons are great for reflecting. Write down what you’re thankful for, what lessons came through this month, and what you want to invite in next. It's the perfect time to manifest.

6. Charge your crystals

If you collect crystals, the full moon is the perfect time to charge them. Put them outside or on a windowsill where they can soak up the moonlight.

7. Make Moon Water

Fill a clean jar with water and place it outside or on a windowsill overnight. Set an intention as you do it - something you want to call in. Use the moon-charged water in your rituals, your bath, or even to water your plants.

How often does a full Moon occur?

A full Moon will be visible roughly every 29.5 days. Here is when the rest of them will occur in 2025.

  • June 11: Strawberry Moon
  • July 10: Buck Moon
  • August 9: Sturgeon Moon
  • September 7: Corn Moon
  • October 6: Harvest Moon
  • November 5: Beaver Moon
  • December 4: Cold Moon
