From Netflix to your kitchen! "It is cookies, but not for you, nor for me," Meghan Markle tells someone behind the camera, before whipping up dog biscuits in episode 4 of With Love, Meghan.

The recipe that the Duchess of Sussex used to make homemade treats for her pal Delfina Blaquier's dog Nina has been shared by Tudum, along with various other recipes and directions for crafts featured on the lifestyle series.

"They provide us with unconditional love, so they get unconditional peanut butter dog biscuits," the Duchess of Sussex said on the show, after giving Guy a treat. In With Love, Meghan, which debuted on March 4, Meghan shared that she would do "anything for Guy, and he knows it." She said, "He can have whatever he wants because he is whatever kind of guy you need him to be depending on the day. My sweet guy, my silly guy, my saucy little guy. Always my spoiled guy." Meghan later referred to him as also her "old guy," noting, "Gone are the days of sprinting."

The Duchess announced in January that her beloved beagle, whom she adopted in 2015, had passed away. "Because many of you will now see Guy in this new series, I hope you’ll come to understand why I am so devastated by his loss. I think you may fall a little bit in love too," she wrote in part on Instagram. "I have cried too many tears to count - the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there. But they are. And that’s okay too. Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet Guy. You filled my life in ways you’ll never know ❤️‍🩹 As ever, Meghan."

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, plus extra for rolling
  • 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup xylitol-free, dog-safe peanut butter of choice

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven. In the show, Meghan said that the temperature is about "300 degrees."
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour and oat flour together.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk the egg, water and honey. Then, mix in the peanut butter until combined.
  4. Add the dry ingredients and mix until dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to ¼-inch thick with a rolling pin. "So you don't wanna get it too thin," Meghan noted in the episode.
  6. Cut treats out using a cookie cutter. "Use whatever you have. Your dog's not gonna mind if you're using one that was a Christmas tree," the Duchess said.
  7. Place the cut treats on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let them cool completely.
  10. Per Tudum, the treats can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week, or in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 4 weeks.
