Adria Arjona, daughter of Leslie Torres and Ricardo Arjona, was born on April 25, 1992, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She grew up immersed in Latin culture, spending large parts of her youth split between Mexico City and Miami, immersed in the artistic influence of her father's tours and music. As a young adult, Arjona moved to New York City, where she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute, all the while working as a waitress and hostess, and developing discipline and her independence.

“There’s a big debate on the internet over whether I’m Puerto Rican or Guatemalan, and I'm very much both. You live in limbo when you're mixed."

Arjona took her first professional steps in the short film "Loss" and later honed her skills in a string of roles in notorious TV shows like "Unforgettable," "Person of Interest," "Narcos," "True Detective," and "Good Omens." On the big screen, she has been part of major productions including "Pacific Rim: Uprising," "Triple Frontier," "6 Underground," "Morbius," "Father of the Bride," and more.

She also served as an executive producer on "Los Frikis," where she stars, trailing a group of characters growing up amidst the Cuban punk movement of the 1990s.

Adria has become a figure of Latin American visibility in Hollywood, known for delivering performances that are unencumbered by stereotypes.“I always put this pressure on myself of making a difference for Latin Americans in cinema, just playing different roles and trying not to get stereotyped. It took me a long time,” she said to the AP Press.

As you can tell from the string of credits attached to her name, Adria has been working in the industry for years, but it wasn't until she was cast in the hit series "Andor" that the doors truly opened for her. Her starring role in the series alongside Diego Luna provided her with the chance to work on numerous critically acclaimed projects, including in the comedy "Hit Man" and Zoe Kravitz's directing debut, "Blink Twice."

This year, Arjona starred in the romantic-comedy "Splitsville," alongside Dakota Johnson, Michael Angelo Covino, and Kyle Marvin.

Every role she chooses reaffirms her dedication to breaking clichés about Latina women, always looking for ways to portray her cultural heritage with depth and humanity. On different occasions, Arjona has opened up about her father's influence in her life and how he's taught her plenty of valuable lessons.

“He always wanted me to go to college. Maybe he didn’t want me to go through all of that, but in the end, it’s what I wanted to do, and I did it.”

The love Adria has for her roots comes from the values instilled by her father, who, from a very young age, taught her the importance of perseverance and chasing her dreams: “The best gift my dad gave me was not giving me everything. That helped me fight and to be a hard worker, and to not be afraid of ambition, which can be positive or negative," she said in an interview with Vogue Mexico.

That freedom motivated her to open doors for other talents, proving that Latina actresses can take on any role onscreen. With several projects underway and her growing involvement as a producer and creative, Arjona's impact continues to grow, inspiring new generations of artists and Latinos to honor their roots and conquer Hollywood with authenticity.

In addition to winning over international audiences, she's currently dating Jason Momoa, with the two sharing one of Hollywood's sweetest romances.
