Maria Victoria Ramirez de Arellano Cardona, also known as Young Miko, has had an incredibly fast rise through the Reggaeton charts. With only five years in the industry, she has shared the stage with Nicki Nicole, Bad Bunny, Feid, and BZRP.

Miko grew up in a tight-knit family, filled with the values that she preaches today. At 26 years old, she has achieved some incredible feats.

"I listened mainly to music from the United States. I started making music singing very high pitched. I didn't rap, but I didn't feel like I was me," she said in an interview with Chente Ydrach.

Now she's one of the greats in Puerto Rican music, even though she's dabbled with many passions in the past, including soccer and tattoo art.

Aside from her love of music, Miko is also a talented artist. Last November, she discussed the topic with Pablo Motos, revealing that she used her own body as the canvas for tattoo art.

"It's on my feet, like a spaceship. I don't know why I thought that would be so cool. Within two days, I regretted it. Now I look at it and I feel nostalgic. I'm fond of it."

This year, she released "ATT," a record that she's described as her journal.

Miko says that she doesn't feel uncomfortable when compared to the men that populate the reggaeton genre. Instead, she feels flattered to be included in such a great batch of artists. "I'm Young Miko, I take that as a compliment and I'm grateful. Benito (Bad Bunny) is incredible, very loving and talented. I love that he's from Puerto Rico. I felt very comfortable with him," she said in regards to their collaboration, "Fina."

She has praised the women in the industry who have paved the way for her and other young female artists. "I grew up listening to Shakira. I feel like I've been with her through all of her stages. My parents adore her, my whole family does. When I was a little girl, I knew all of her records, so for her to know who I am is surreal," she said in an interview with Los 40 Principales Colombia.

Despite the success, Miko's feet are firmly planted on the ground, claiming that her family is her first priority. "Thank God, my family are my number one fans. They try to go to all my shows, and watch all of my interviews. Everything they see about me online they want to share it. They're very happy," she said.
