Hannah King is as entrepreneur dedicated to promoting socioeconomic empowerment and sustainability in developing regions. She founded Woven Futures - an ethical fashion brand that connects Latin American artisans with the U.S. fashion industry through a model that focuses on skill development, fair-trade, and sustainability.
Hannah’s company, Woven Futures, is woman-owned and based out of the United States and Guatemala. In 2017 Hannah met several indigenous artisans from her home country (Guatemala) who made incredible textile pieces, but struggled to sell them. On a mission to connect them to the fashion industry and fight the toxic processes behind fast fashion, she began Woven Futures.

Through Woven Futures, Hannah manifests her commitment to preserving indigenous weaving techniques and natural dye processes through handmade small batch collections.
Woven Futures is adamant about the exclusive use of botanical, organic, or recycled materials in their products. They utilize dye techniques that are rooted in Mayan traditions and aim to ensure that their products are made as sustainably as possible, and products are handmade using a combination of traditional indigenous techniques including back-strap and foot-loom weaving. By utilizing these production methods, Woven Futures is helping to preserve the weaving culture in Latin America and creating a higher standard for quality in the fashion industry.
