Just like us, celebrities can also suffer from sensitive skin that's delicate or tends to redden easily. Case in point: the gorgeous Sofía Vergara. The Modern Family star has made sure to develop healthy habits to manage it, and is, for example, a firm believer in a sensible diet. Sofia consumes plenty of fruits with antioxidant properties, such as blueberries, and infusions like green tea or chamomile.

In addition to diet, though she also swears by certain products that are the cornerstone of her beauty routine. And we know what they are! Keep scrolling to discover 6 of Sofia's tips for caring for sensitive skin, as well as products you can use to follow them!

Gently remove impurities

The Latina diva revealed to Telva that excess makeup affects her delicate skin and makes it go red. To combat this, she's a fan of soft foam cleansers. She uses a non-abrasive sponge to apply, changing it once a week to avoid the accumulation of bacteria.

We suggest Lâncome's Crème-Mousse Confort ($26) as an option. This facial cleansing foam nourishes and removes impurities from skin, and is even effective for removing waterproof makeup. It numbers rosehip among the ingredients, which is great to nourish and soothe irritated skin.

Don\'t forget the sunscreen

Yes, mamá was right! Sunscreen should never be missing from any beauty routine to prevent wrinkles and blemishes. Colombian beauty Sofia has revealed that during the day she uses up to SPF50 when working on set.

One sunscreen that suits sensitive skin is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF55 ($10.99), which is excellent for oily and acne-damaged skins. Its oil-free formula gives a matte finish.

Got to get your vitamin C

Vitamin C is also a key component of Sofia's skincare routine. She applies it daily in the form of a serum to give her skin that luminous look, applying it not just to the face but also to the neck and chest area.

If you want to try a vitamin boost, pick up Mad Hippie's Vitamin C Serum ($33 at Ulta Beauty). It combines different antioxidants that lighten, firm and soften skin.

Use marigold to hydrate and soothe

Marigold is another essential ingredient in the actress' skincare routine. This plant has hydrating, nourishing and anti-inflammatory properties that are great for sensitive skin. It's also an excellent natural alternative to relieve reddened skin and dermatitis. Sofia applies it in creams or oils at night. Our recommendation? Weleda Comforting Baby Oil ($17).

Aceite de coco de Instanatural© Instanatural

Indulge in coconut oil at night

To keep her skin hydrated, Sofia applies coconut oil all over her body followed by a wrap. “When [husband] Joe [Manganiello] is out of town I even sleep in (plastic) wrap and coconut oil everywhere,” Sofia revealed to Us Magazine. For those cold days when your skin gets dry, you can use coconut oil after a bath or shower.

You could try Instanatural Coconut Oil ( $12) which is great for face, body, hair and even nails.

Use Retinol to fight the signs of age

Retinol is another essential part of Sofia's beauty care routine. She applies with care to avoid reddening her skin as it has exfoliating properties.

One product you can try is Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum ($84) that promises results in just one month. This treatment is designed to visibly reduce lines and wrinkles while improving skin texture and tone. It also moisturizes and lightens spots.
