Billie Eilish is putting her own stamp on one of 2025’s most talked-about desserts: the viral Dubai Chocolate.

The decadent treat, stuffed with gooey pistachio cream and tahini, layered with crunchy knafeh made from shredded filo, cheese, and syrup, sparked a frenzy earlier this year after a TikTok video introduced the unique confection to the world. Now, the 23-year-old singer has stepped into the kitchen to create a plant-based version of the Middle Eastern delicacy.

In a TikTok posted on August 24th, the Birds of a Feather singer toasted dokme tel kadayıf (pastry threads), mixed them with pistachio spread, then poured the mixture into a mold with melted vegan chocolate. She layered more chocolate over the pistachio-and-dokme tel kadayıf filling before popping it into the fridge to set.

At the end of the clip, Billie can be heard saying: “Mmmm f***** good. Unbelievably delicious.”*

This TikTok video comes after, in July, fans of Billie, who was raised a vegetarian and has long been an advocate for animal rights and veganism, were divided after she banned meat-based foods from her six-night Hit Me Hard and Soft tour stop at London’s O2 Arena.

The venue, which sold tickets for around $90 each, was required to follow Billie’s directive by offering a 100 percent plant-based menu and eliminating all animal products from the premises.

Offerings included a peri-peri halloumi wrap, pizza, chipotle tacos, and pancakes. One frustrated fan told MailOnline, “Did they run out of meat or something?” Another concertgoer added, “Punters were less than impressed with the vegan options, a mixture of pizzas, cauliflower bits and loaded fries.”

Her menu makes sense since back in 2021, when she was just 19, Billie made history as animal-rights organization PETA named her its youngest-ever Person of the Year for “never staying silent” on animal protection.

In a statement nodding to some of Billie’s biggest hits, PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk said, “Billie Eilish is making sure that ‘the party’s over’ for meaty, milky meals as well as for leather, fur, and silk.

PETA is ‘happier than ever’ to celebrate her for seizing every opportunity to point out that vegan fashion and foods are kinder to the animals and the planet we share with them.”

So, if you are inspired like Billie Eilish, to make your own Dubai Chocolate, here's a recipe.
