Anne Hathaway is shimmering in a metallic shift dress in her latest Shiseido campaign. The actress shared a black-and-white video on Instagram, where the fabric catches the light for a disco-ball effect as she moves.
The Devil Wears Prada actress appeared in a sleeveless, slinky metallic shift dress in a black-and-white video, the fabric catching the light to create a disco-ball effect as she moved. The knee-length dress had a relaxed silhouette that flowed effortlessly on camera, giving off a playful yet elegant vibe.
Hathaway captioned the post: “Starting and ending my days with only the best, @shiseido’s VITAL PERFECTION Uplifting and Firming Advanced Cream .” Hathaway has been a Shiseido brand ambassador since 2023, and when the partnership was first announced, she praised the company’s legacy and values in a Vogue interview.
She said at the time: “They’re a brand that’s been synonymous with the highest quality for so many generations; they have such integrity. I’m just really, really thrilled that they felt that I am somebody who could effectively reflect that.”
The post comes as Hathaway prepares for the highly anticipated release of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Her recent metallic-inspired looks appear to nod to the film’s glamorous aesthetic.
In October, Hathaway was photographed on set wearing a silver, rhinestone-studded jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, fitted bodice, and chain-laced detailing, layered over a menswear-inspired jacket. The outfit highlighted her willingness to take bold fashion risks as she stepped back into one of her most iconic roles.
After initially expressing doubts and saying she didn’t think a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada would happen anytime soon, Anne Hathaway fans were surprised when the project was officially announced. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to hit theaters on Friday, May 1, 2026.
It’s been 20 years since the original 2006 hit, which became an instant fashion and pop culture classic.
Once again, Meryl Streep reprises her role as the formidable fashion editor Miranda Priestly, with Anne Hathaway reprising her role as assistant Andy Sachs, and Emily Blunt returning as former assistant turned rival, Emily Charlton.
While the official plot remains under wraps, a teaser hinted that Miranda faces off against Emily Charlton, her former assistant turned rival executive, as they compete for advertising revenue amid the decline of print media, all while Miranda approaches retirement.
