Fresh off a lavish New Year’s Eve yacht celebration, Elsa Pataky stepped into 2026 with an outfit that instantly reaffirmed her effortless, boho-luxe signature.
The actress was photographed at Sydney Airport on January 6, departing for Byron Bay alongside husband Chris Hemsworth, and her look struck the perfect balance between relaxed vacation mode and elevated travel styling.
The actress opted for a light cream belted mini dress with a soft linen texture, an easy, pulled-together silhouette ideal for an airport dash. The slightly oversized collar and rolled sleeves kept the ensemble breezy, while the waist tie added structure without feeling rigid.
The short hemline showcased her toned legs and gave the entire look a sun-kissed, just-off-holiday feel that suits her athletic, beach-driven lifestyle.
Instead of sneakers or sandals, she grounded the outfit with slouchy brown suede boots, adding earthy contrast and a hint of rugged Western influence. The boots, folded, relaxed, and slightly distressed, made the outfit stand out from typical airport athleisure. They also paired effortlessly with the neutral palette and her laid-back approach to accessories.
She kept it simple with black oversized glasses and a caramel-toned shoulder bag worn casually under one arm, leaving her long blonde hair loose and naturally textured. Her jewelry stayed discreet, allowing the clean lines of the dress and statement boots to take the spotlight.
Beside her, Hemsworth kept his look classic with a crisp white T-shirt, black athletic pants, and sneakers. However, his diamond-set Audemars Piguet Royal Oak didn’t go unnoticed, valued at over $250,000. The watch quietly elevated his casual look, reflecting the indulgent glow of their recent yacht festivities.
While the couple is generally private about their personal life, the Sydney Airport sighting captured a rare public display of affection, subtle but sweet, as they prepared to head home to Byron Bay with their family.
The airport appearance came as the pair celebrated 15 years of marriage, something Hemsworth recently reflected on in his interview with Jay Shetty on the On Purpose podcast.
"There's always that spark and that attraction, but what it comes down to is friendship and companionship at the end. The moment you run out of things to talk about, you lack that curiosity and interest in one another, that's when it's concerning," he said.
The actor explained that part of their marriage is an "understanding that you don't entirely ever know each other and you'll continue to try and figure it out, as you're trying to have a greater understanding of yourself as well."
The actress echoed similar sentiments earlier in 2025 in Hello! Magazine, saying she and Hemsworth like to “remain curious about each other” and adapt during demanding periods.
"You have to be ready to adapt, and because there are situations that separate you, you need to know how to find each other again," she said.
