In one striking moment, she stares into a full-length mirror, and her expression hints that all is far from serene.

The trailer, released on December 10, offers glimpses of awkward pre-wedding photoshoots, tense conversations, and, of course, dramatic glances that suggest things are far from picture-perfect. The chemistry between Zendaya and Pattinson is electric, though a little unsettling, perfectly matching the film’s off-kilter tone.

Fans got an extra thrill from the promotional poster, which shows Zendaya flaunting a massive diamond engagement ring. The ring, reminiscent of her real-life Jessica McCormack engagement band, sparked excitement and brief confusion online.

Filming took place in Andover, Massachusetts, with Zendaya and Pattinson photographed together on set in November 2024.

Of course, Zendaya is very much engaged to Tom Holland. The famously private couple has managed to avoid public overexposure, and details about their actual wedding remain tightly under wraps. Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, previously explained, “There won’t be a Vogue spread or pictures of the wedding, the people she will invite are going to be very respectful of their privacy. So it’ll be a very beautiful dress that no one gets to see.”

Behind the scenes, the pair have clearly been diving deep into their roles. Pattinson, in a March interview with French magazine Premiere, described one particularly challenging scene.

“We had a scene together in it that was driving me crazy. I was desperately looking for its meaning, to the point of writing pages and pages of textual analysis… I ended up calling Zendaya the night before shooting the scene in question.”

He continued, recounting how Zendaya calmly helped him find clarity. “I shared my doubts with her, I spoke for two hours, and blah blah blah, and after a while, very calmly, she finally made me understand that the line just said what it meant to say, that there was no hidden meaning.”
