Lauren Sánchez Bezos is in her Dior era, and she’s diving deep into the archives to prove it. The billionaire philanthropist and former journalist made a dazzling entrance at Dior’s exclusive dinner in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night, stepping out in a piece of fashion history.
Lauren wore a gray tweed and lace minidress from John Galliano’s Fall 1998 ready-to-wear collection for the house. “A beautiful evening at Dior celebrating Jonathan Anderson. Wearing vintage Dior by John Galliano, Fall 1998,” she captioned an Instagram post from the event.
The rare dress, featuring delicate cream lace at the bust and hem, with barely-there straps, perfectly balanced Galliano’s romantic aesthetic with Sánchez’s signature confidence. The 55-year-old paired the archival piece with a sleek low ponytail, diamond studs, and classic black pumps, channeling a timeless Dior silhouette reimagined for the modern red carpet.
She accessorized with a black medium Lady Dior bag embellished with silver eyelets and dangling white pearls, a limited-edition piece from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Cruise 2025 collection. The bag, which originally retailed for $10,500, is now completely sold out.
Inside the star-studded dinner, held at Dior’s Beverly Hills flagship, Sánchez mingled with longtime friends Kendall and Kylie Jenner, both dressed in sleek all-black looks, and joined Dior ambassador Jennifer Lawrence, who also opted for monochrome elegance.
Kris Jenner commented on Sánchez’s Instagram, writing, “You are SOOOO STUNNING!!!!!!!" Lauren’s look marks yet another chapter in her growing love affair with vintage Dior.
During Paris Fashion Week in October, she wore a gray Galliano-designed skirt suit from the house’s Spring 1995 collection, sourced from Resurrection Vintage in Los Angeles. Her stylist, Molly Dickson, has been instrumental in curating these archival finds.
That same appreciation for Dior’s legacy extends to her accessories. Back in July, Sánchez carried a micro ivory Lady Dior worth over $15,000 during a romantic European getaway with her husband, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
The beaded leather piece, featuring blue stars and a “Rêve d’Infini” (“Dream of Infinity”) motif by artist Pietro Ruffo, was inspired by a mosaic at Christian Dior’s childhood home in Granville, France.
Her latest Dior moment feels especially personal. Having married Bezos in a lavish Venice ceremony this past June, Sánchez has embraced a glamorous new chapter. From a blood-red Vivienne Westwood gown at a Paris date night to her barely-there sequined dresses at star-studded events, she’s consistently proving her impeccable style.
