Sabrina Carpenter, 26, stepped out in New York City on Tuesday night looking effortlessly chic in a head-to-toe butter yellow ensemble. The singer, fresh from performing at Austin City Limits Music Festival over the weekend, looked effortlessly cool in her latest outing.

The musician paired a densely knitted off-the-shoulder mini dress with matching slouchy calf-length socks and nude Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby D’orsay pumps, complete with a bejeweled brooch at the toes.

She completed the look with a yellow quilted Chanel bag slung over her shoulder and her blonde hair styled voluminously in curls. Leaning into fall 2025 trends, Carpenter gave a cozy, playful twist to the season’s palette.

The chunky knit, in pale yellow and white yarn, nods to the seasonal shades popular over the summer, as seen on Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, and Jennifer Lawrence.

The singer’s evening out in Midtown, where she dined with friends, did not go unnoticed. Fans followed her for photos and signed records as she left the restaurant, proving her continued popularity and star power.

Carpenter has openly embraced experimentation with her personal style in her twenties. Speaking to Rolling Stone last year, she explained, "I would argue that I haven’t even found my thing. I think this is my thing at the moment—if I feel comfortable in something."

She continued, "If I walk a little taller, my posture is a little better, I’m just a happier person when I’m in something that I feel really good in." She added, "Lord knows I’ve worn some really tragic things on carpets. It’s all about growth."

A standout detail of her look was her Manolo Blahnik pumps, made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City. Carpenter paired the ornate heels with her statement socks, giving the retro trend a contemporary update.

The socks-and-heels combination, popularized in the 1960s by Audrey Hepburn and Twiggy and embraced in the 1980s and 1990s by luxury designers like Versace, is back on trend and perfectly showcased in Carpenter’s ensemble.
