Amal Clooney brought a vibrant summer look to Lake Como this week, changing her usual neutral-toned outfits for a colorful ensemble. The human rights lawyer stepped out in a striking magenta gown that featured a dramatic thigh-high slit, a soft draped neckline, and an artful rosette at the hip, one of the boldest looks of the season so far.
She and George Clooney were spotted hosting a private evening for guests of the Clooney Foundation for Justice at their private residence, Villa Oleandra. From there, the couple made a glamorous entrance by boat to Villa Passalacqua, where an exclusive dinner followed.
Amal's vibrant dress turned heads not just for its color, but also for its elegant construction, featuring an asymmetrical skirt, cowl neck, and loose draping at the back. George wore a sleek, dark suit and an open-collar shirt, looking in good spirits while holding hands with Amal.
She completed the look with strappy gold heels, a pillow-shaped clutch in matching metallic, oversized sunglasses, diamond drop earrings, and mismatched rings. A pink bouquet added an extra touch of color for the night out.
Just days earlier, Amal wore a fringed white off-the-shoulder dress, also paired with metallic gold details. Since arriving in Laglio on August 1, Amal had stuck to all-white outfits, occasionally throwing in a bit of shimmer.
Last summer, the Clooneys were seen hopping between Venice, St. Tropez, and Como, with Amal showcasing her best summer looks, from lemon yellow to neon vintage Versace.
Before her magenta moment, Amal had already stolen the spotlight in a sequined silver gown by Badgley Mischka, trimmed in fringe and perfect for the couple’s night out. She followed that with a layered white fringe dress, but it seems she is ready for more vibrant looks.
This week’s dinner marked the third private gathering for the Clooney Foundation for Justice at Villa Passalacqua. Guests, who reportedly paid $91,150 each to attend, were treated to a luxurious evening complete with wine pairings and a lakeside setting.
