The Kardashians are used to getting hate online, but Khloé Kardashian probably wasn't expecting her latest outfit to enrage thousands of people. On Thursday, the Good American founder shared a series of photos wearing very interesting thong-style jeans. She quoted Beyoncé in the caption, writing, "This ain’t Texas IYKYK."
The 40-year-old wore a black T-shirt, denim pointed shoes, and a white cowboy hat with the one-of-a-kind pants. The jeans are Mugler’s trompe l’oeil thong style that Bella Hadid modeled for Mugler's Spring 2021 show.
Irina Shayk also rocked a white version of the pants on the street in 2021.
While they got away with it, Koko caught a lot of heat in the comments from both fans and haters. "No. These pants look cheap and rude," wrote one user. Which, of course, is not true. The jeans are over $500.
"Girl ily but wtf is this outfit," "Beautiful face but something is off with them jeans," "Yea fr this ain’t a Texas thing. These jeans do not represent us lol," "Girl, you KNOW those pants look ridiculous," "What the helly," and "I must say those pants look a little vulgar" are among some of the disapproving comments.
Still, the mom of two got some love for the look. Lauren Sánchez and Scott Disick showed some love by hitting the "like" button, and there were some positive comments. "I think this might be your look," celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin wrote. "A vibe," wrote her bestie, Malika, who posed with Khloé in one of the photos wearing leather shorts, a printed long-sleeve shirt, and amazing thigh-high boots.
Some showed their distaste for the pants but still gave her some love, like one of the top-liked comments that read, "Not a fan of the jeans at all, but she’s beautiful always."
It's not the first—or last—time people have had opinions on Koko or her famous family's outfits. But hey, if she feels good in the thong pants, then it's not really anyone’s business anyway. There's enough judgment going on around the world and far more pressing issues to get worked up about.
