Each year, Miami Swim Week marks the official start of summer fashion, and 2025 did not disappoint. The vibrant streets of Miami came alive with micro bikinis, bold prints, and eye-catching cutouts, setting the tone for what’s next in swimwear and resort-style.
This season’s event, featuring brands like Montce, and Luli Fama, and emerging favorites such as Oséree and Salty Mermaid, showcased a a mix of nostalgic Y2K vibes, intricate crochet pieces, and statement-making designs that will dominate beaches and pools worldwide.
Among the highlights of the multiple shows, Megan Thee Stallion brought her fierce confidence to the runway, while designers embraced new bold looks, from micro bikinis with peek-a-boo straps to swim skirts that offer a retro twist, plus the resurgence of crochet everything.
Other trends on the runway included high-cut legs and bold color blocks channeling ’80s and ’90s nostalgia, sporty styles, which blended athleisure with chic looks, for active beach days.
Meanwhile, asymmetrical necklines and one-shoulder designs were present, as well as designs with sheer panels or mesh inserts.

Crochet returned in full force, bringing handcrafted charm to the swimwear scene. From full crochet bikinis to delicate coverups adorned with shimmering yarns and 3D rosettes.
Bold prints:
Bold, vibrant prints and colors stole the show alongside classic ocean-inspired palettes. Fiery reds, pistachio greens, and butter yellows made waves, while sea-themed motifs, shells, starfish, and seascapes, provided a fun underwater vibe.
