Suri Cruise is quietly claiming her place as Gen Z’s newest fashion It-girl. It's no secret that Suri has inspired her evolving style in her mom Katie Holmes' fun and chic looks. Most recently, she stepped out in New York City, showcasing her take on the latest Western trend.

Dressed in an oversized denim jacket, cut-off micro shorts, and mid-calf brown suede boots, Suri nailed the Western chic look. Paired with a black bandeau top featuring a sweetheart neckline, and her brunette hair slicked into a high ponytail, she rocked no makeup during her latest outing.

The soon-to-be Carnegie Mellon sophomore, who’s home in NYC for the summer, was spotted enjoying a casual day out with classmates. The denim ensemble was the perfect silhouette and the boots were a nod to the cowboy look.

Suri’s sense of style is no surprise to those who’ve followed her mom’s fashion evolution. “She has her own sense of style and her own expressions,” Katie said to The Times about her daughter, admitting that she is happy to share her wardrobe.

While the actress prefers to keep her family life private, she previously talked about how proud she is of Suri. “I’m proud of my daughter… I remember being this age, this time of beginnings. It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that," she said to Town & Country.

Katie also explained to Elle UK in 2019 that they “kind of grew up together." The actress is fiercely protective of Suri and slammed “completely false” claims that she had inherited part of her dad's fortune after turning 18. “I don’t want a target on my child’s back,” she wrote in a December 2024 Instagram comment. “It’s dangerous.”
