Audrey Hepburn was in everyone's mind on opening day of the 78th Cannes Film Festival courtesy of Bella Hadid. The supermodel served a masterclass in understated elegance, following Cannes' updated dress code, banning nudity and voluminous gowns.
The 27-year-old supermodel, who recently opened up about her hope for motherhood in the future, posed in a vintage-inspired look straight out of 'Breakfast at Tiffany’s.'
Bella was spotted strolling into the Hôtel Martinez on May 13 wearing a black pleated poplin midi dress with soft corseting from Jacquemus, a perfect choice for the French Riviera.
The ensemble was paired with sleek black leather slingback pumps and a small matching top-handle bag, both also by Jacquemus.
The look was a modern nod to Hepburn’s iconic 1961 look, channeling the fan-favorite spirit of Holly Golightly to me, evoking pure Parisian glam. Bella rocked her new honey-blonde locks in a center-parted hairstyle.
She finished the look with petal-shaped diamond earrings, a statement floral necklace from Chopard, and glossy black sunglasses that channeled Hepburn’s signature cat-eyes. Bella also rocked a soft glam makeup look, including a soft pink lip. Just the day before, she turned heads in a Saint Laurent gown with a daring thigh-high slit.
This is just another one of Bella's looks, as she has had some stunning fashion moments. Her fashion streak at Cannes began even before the red carpet. On May 12, she arrived in the Riviera wearing a structured white Dolce & Gabbana bustier top paired with matching jeans, tan slingbacks, and caramel-toned accessories.
It's no secret that Bella is a familiar face at the highly anticipated film festival. However, many were left wondering about what her ensembles were going to be this time around, following the strict dress code that the festival enforced this year, putting a focus on the productions.
