Zendaya continues to prove she is a red carpet icon, turning heads as she transitioned from the Met Gala to the after-party in another stylish look. The 'Challengers' star stayed fully on-theme, paying tribute to a trailblazing designer.
After walking the Met steps in a crisp, zoot suit-inspired Louis Vuitton ensemble designed by Pharrell Williams, the actress arrived at Casa Cipriani for an exclusive after-party in a vintage gown.
Zendaya wore a red strapless dress by the late American designer Patrick Kelly. Known for pushing boundaries and celebrating Black identity through fashion, the look was a fitting match for the gala’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
The dress, detailed with damask florals and sequins, was a perfect look on Zendaya, who dazzled in the figure-hugging ensemble. She paired it with a feathered, cropped burgundy jacket by the same designer and wore matching stilettos.
She was photographed making her way to the after-party, rocking a slicked-back hairstyle, soft glam makeup, and of course, her dazzling engagement ring, ahead of her highly anticipated wedding with Tom Holland.
Zendaya also made headlines for her Met Gala look, as she was not styled by her longtime collaborator and friend Law Roach this time. The actress wore a nearly identical white suit to acclaimed star Anna Sawai. While the pair did not wear the same designer, the looks were very similar, and many online users were quick to comment on the two outfits.
Paying tribute to American designer Patrick Kelly:
Zendaya’s second look maintained the spirit of the evening with a tribute to Patrick Kelly, who in the 1980s broke barriers in Parisian fashion and influenced icons like Grace Jones and Madonna.
The designer was the first American admitted to France’s prestigious ready-to-wear governing body (FHCM) and is remembered for infusing joy and cultural pride into his stunning pieces.
