Katie Holmes knows how to dress for every occasion. Earlier this week, she was photographed attending the 11 Juliet launch event at one of the most luxurious locations in New York City. She opted for an all-black look that did not disappoint.

She rounded the look with a black leather crossbody bag from 11 Juliet, celebrating the launch. The final detail of her look was her kitten heels, which gave the outfit a timeless vibe.

Holmes attended the 11 Juliet event, which had all manner of notorious fashion people and celebrities as guests. In an interview with Vogue, she revealed that she has many fashion inspirations, often finding ideas while riding the subway and noticing what other people are wearing.
When it comes to evening wear, her inspirations are a little more refined.
“I love to go to the opera and the ballet—not just on the gala nights. I always like to get dressed up too and see the beautiful outfits the ladies wear. I actually follow the opera's Instagram and I love to see how people put things together," she said.

“Wearing a glamorous dress to the ballet or opera makes me feel like I am the New York woman I dreamt of being when I was a little girl,” she said with a laugh.
