Pluto TV is a rare streaming platform. In an era of price hikes and too many options, Pluto TV is a haven for anyone wanting to save some money while still having access to a wide gamut of cult classics. Pluto TV's entire library is free, providing viewers with channels reminiscent of old-school cable. Recently, the service has added a new string of shows, including cult classics like "My Wife and Kids."

The series, which ran for five seasons, led by Damon Wayans and featuring a standout cameo from Sofia Vergara, was a landmark show for its era. Other TV shows that have been recently added include "The 100," "Everwood," "Heart of Dixie," "Fringe," "Twin Peaks," and more.

"Pluto TV is central to our direct-to-consumer strategy. Free streaming is expanding faster than any other segment of the market, and 18-34 year olds are our fastest growing audience,” said Cindy Holland, Chair of Direct to Consumer, Paramount Skydance. “We're building a more deliberate and curated experience for our consumers that delivers real value to our partners. Free streaming doesn't have to be a warehouse; it is a destination."

“The data tells us that younger audiences don’t want new for the sake of new, they want good. Hart of Dixie, Arrow, The 100, and Everwood are shows with cultural staying power. Viewers know what they're starting, they can binge the complete run from day one, and they don't have to wonder if it's worth their time,” said Will Gurman, SVP Content Partnerships and Programming for Pluto TV.

“More than 400 episodes of television people already love, exclusively on Pluto TV. That's a real answer to decision fatigue.”

Over the past week, studio executives have shared some of their plans for Pluto TV, hoping to merge the platform under the Paramount Skydance brand by mid 2026.

“There’s more investment going into Pluto right now than there has been in the last 10 years,” said Chief Revenue Officer Jay Askinasi in an interview with The Wrap. “We’ll have unified identity, we’ll be built for mobile and we’ll have a better data-rich experience potential for commerce and shoppable experiences. Over 65% of Pluto is actually Paramount library content and a lot of what exists across CBS and the cable networks is all in the AVOD ecosystem through Pluto.”
