After a four-year wait, "Euphoria" has finally dropped a release date for its third and final season. It's also teased a first look at the series, showing Zendaya's Rue as she prepares for another season of chaos.
"Euphoria" will premiere in April 2026, almost four years after its second season ended. Most of the original cast is back, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and more.
Series creator Sam Levinson made the announcement of the show's return in London at an HBO event hosted on Wednesday. He teased some of the show's most anticipated storylines: “Five years felt like a natural place because if they’d gone to college they’d be out of college at that time,” he said, according to Variety. “We basically pick up Rue [Zendaya] south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie [Kelly], trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off.”
He also teased the future of two of the show's most famous and busiest actors, Sweeney and Elordi: “And then Cassie [Sweeney] is living in the suburbs with Nate [Elordi], they’re engaged and she’s very addicted to social media and envious of what appears to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time," he continued.
“I feel strongly this is our best season yet… I will say that Cassie and Nate do in fact get married. I’m confirming it. And I promise that it will be an unforgettable night.”
Levinson also teased the futures of the characters of Schafer, who's going to art school, and Demie, who's working in Hollywood. One of the show's most exciting additions is that of Sharon Stone, who plays a showrunner and the boss of Apatow's character, Lexi. He described the actress as "absolutely delightful and a true icon.”
