Salma Hayek made a surprise appearance on the set of 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,' joining the star-studded cast of the highly anticipated movie, which includes Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Angela Bassett, Pom Klementieff, and more.
During an exclusive interview with ¡HOLA!, Angela shared her experience while filming the eighth installment of the fan-favorite franchise and revealed that the Mexican icon's visit was one of the highlights of the project.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the latest movie was shot in the UK, Malta, South Africa, and Norway. "The stakes are different," she told ¡HOLA! about the new storyline. "There's always going to be a lot of fun, a lot of enthusiasm. You never know who is going to stop by and pay you a visit."
She continued, "I remember Salma Hayek came by one day," she revealed, describing the moment as "lovely." Angela went on to talk about the "long hours" of filming, calling Tom Cruise "amazing and incredible." The actress also highlighted the "impossible stunts that Tom and his crew make possible."
"He was very open to the way in which you would play a scene," she said about her dynamic on set with Cruise, adding that between him and the director, they would "encourage" the cast to try new things while filming their scenes.
With an exciting premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 14, the cast of the movie walked the red carpet before the first reviews were shared, describing it as an action-packed production with thrilling twists and unexpected moments.
"I think another impossible stunt is maintaining your humanity, your vulnerability, your willingness to balance the strongest and the softest parts of yourself and bring those together and realize that they are both together in equal measure," Angela explained when talking about the emotional and sensitive side of her portrayal.
