Details about the new project are still under wraps. Directed by the acclaimed J.J. Abrams, the film has been described as a "top secret" production with "fantasy elements." However, the 'Wednesday' star revealed she is working in the pre-production stage of the project, and revealed a few things about her new role.

During her latest interview with The Cut, Jenna shared some details about her character, as she prepares to travel to London in the following weeks. “It all feels very top secret, but it is an original J.J. script with some fantasy elements,” Ortega said, hinting at the film’s mysterious plot.

The actress talked about her involvement in the character development process, noting that she was given the opportunity to have input on her role. “I don’t think I’ve ever been a part of a story like this so early on,” she explained. “I was able to give input on my character, including her choice of tattoos.”

Filming for the project is expected to kick off in London later this summer, and fans are eager to see how this new collaboration will unfold on the big screen, with Abrams at the helm.

The actress talked to the publication about her new approach to choosing roles that she feels passionate about. "I’ve happened to join a lot of franchises, which is so great to be a part of legacy," Ortega said. "But for me, I’m really trying to prioritize new directors and original stories."
