The cast of Netflix’s upcoming film The Gray Man is to die for, and the budget is astronomical. For the first time in the streaming service’s history, upwards of $200 million will be destined for the movie, and Hollywood’s biggest stars will join the espionage thriller based on a 2009 novel by Mark Greaney.

Ana De Armas, Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Regé-Jean Page, Alfre Woodard, Billy Bob Thornton, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Dhanush, and Julia Butters will use their talents to give life to the characters. The Gray Man tells the story of a freelance assassin and former CIA operative Court Gentry, known as “The Gray Man,” described by the author as “a legend in the covert realm.” and that moved “silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible, and then fading away.” In the story, Gentry always hits his target; however, more significant forces make him prove “that for him, there is no gray area between killing for a living-and killing to stay alive.”

On Thursday, Armas shared a short clip on Instagram during one of her training session for the film, alongside Military Advisor and Viking Tactics Instructor Chili Palmer. She captioned the clip, “MFDF 👊🏻 #TheGrayMan.” The trainer praised her work by saying “that was a good one.”

After Netflix took social media to announce, fans blasted the comments section with well wishes and excitement. “Brazil being very well represented, our star Wagner Moura,” wrote one person. “What a loaded cast. ✨ Shout out to the South Asian talent as well,” said another one referring to Indian actor, producer, director, writer, lyricist, Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja, better known by his stage name Dhanush.

“Adding Rege was brilliant. Every woman in the world will now be tuning in 😍😍😍😍,” said a fan of the Bridgerton actor. “Lots of talent in this cast! This is going to be awesome,” another person said, praising Netflix for the selection.

As of this writing, production is scheduled to start this March in Los Angeles and will be under the direction of brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, known for many Marvel movies, including Avengers: Endgame.
