Demi Lovato  can soon add “host” to her resume. It was announced on Tuesday that the Grammy-nominated singer will be hosting the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards. The announcement casually happened during a Twitter conversation between E! and the 28-year-old singer.

The Tweet from E!’s Twitter page read, “We can keep a secret could you, @ddlovato? Any plans on Sunday, November 15th?” and the “Commander In Chief” singer replied back saying, “idk... maybe hosting @peopleschoice?!?!? #PCAs.”

The annual award show is set to take place live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA on Sunday, November 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Fans happily responded to Lovato’s announcement saying, “we are so excited for you this is ur year.” Another fan tweeted, “OH MY GOD I CANNOT WAIT YESSSSSSSSSS IM EXCITEDDDDDDDD.”

Lovato has had a busy year in both her professional and personal life. Lovato kicked off the year with an incredible stripped-down performance of her ballad, “Anyone,” at this year’s Grammy Awards. Then shortly after, Lovato appeared at Super Bowl LIV in Miami to perform the National Anthem. By March the 28-year-old powerhouse released her single, “I Love Me.” More recently, Lovato released another single titled, “Commander In Chief.”

Although 2020 was an incredible year for Lovato professionally, she also dealt with a lot in her personal life which consisted of a whirlwind romance with ex-fiance, 29-year-old “Young and the Restless” actor Max Ehrich. In early March, Lovato said on an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that she was single. “I have to fight those battles on my own, and I can‘t let somebody come in and fix those issues for me. So right now I’m single and spending my Saturday nights by myself.” But soon after that, Lovato and Ehrich that same month.

During the pandemic, the couple quarantined together and posted a lot of photos together declaring their love on social media. By July 2020, Lovato and Ehrich were engaged and sadly only two months after that, the couple broke up and called off their engagement.

Despite going through a difficult breakup this year, we are so excited to see Lovato host this year’s E! People’s Choice Awards as we know she’s going to do amazing!
