Sandra Bullock  and  Ryan Reynolds  are reportedly making another film together, which marks a reunion that’s more than 10 years in the making.

The Oscar-winning actress just signed up work on a romantic action adventure titled, The Lost City of D. According to reports from The Wrap. Reynolds is loosely attached to the project and there‘s no deal in place for him just yet.

Directors Adam and Aaron Nee, who previously helmed with crime comedy Band of Robbers, will be in charge of the movie, with Seth Gordon creating the story and Dana Fox writing the script. Bullock will also serve as producer on the film alongside Gordon and Liza Chasin.

As mentioned above, this duo working together would be the first time they have been on screen together since 2009, when they starred in The Proposal.

The Lost City of D will follow an author, played by Sandra Bullock, who discovers that a fictional city she had written about in one of her novels is real, and she sets out on a journey to find it, only to be accompanied by an actor, portrayed by Reynolds, who played a character from her book. The film is inspired by 1984 classic adventure rom-com Romancing the Stone, which starred Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.

This film will mark a return to the big screen for Bullock, who was last seen in Netflix’s insanely popular horror thriller Bird Box back in 2018. As for Reynolds, he is currently filming Red Notice alongside Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot.

“The idea that Paramount is willing to return to a genre we haven’t seen in a while, makes us incredibly excited,” Bullock told Entertainment Weekly in an exclusive statement. ”When Liza and I heard the Nee Brothers pitch we knew we were about to embark on an ambitious and fun ride. We all need some action, escapism and love right now. And if I have to humiliate myself on screen to do it... then so be it!”

Fans are already excited to see another film with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds working together, so we can only hope the Deadpool star officially signs on for the project.

In other big news for Paramount Pictures, just yesterday, Deadline broke the news that the studio won an auction for Cleopatra, a blockbuster film that will star Wonder Woman’s  Gadot, director Patty Jenkins and producer Charles Roven, with script by Laeta Kalogridis.
