Oscars 2019: The complete list of winners

The 2019 Oscars are in full swing and there have been a lot of buzzy moments. From the stunning red carpet looks to first-time Oscar nominee Yalitza Aparicio adorably bringing her mom as her date, this night has been filled with memorable moments.

Best Supporting Actress

Regina King took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in If Beale Street Could Talk. 

Documentary

Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy Chin, Evan Hayes, and Shannon Dill took home the Oscar for Free Solo, a documentary that follows rock climber Alex Honnold as he attempts to free climb a 900-meter vertical rock at Yosemite National Park.

Makeup & Hairstyling

Greg Cannom, Kate Biscoe and Patricia DeHaney all won for their work in Vice. 

Costume Design

Ruth Carter took home the award for her work in Black Panther.

Production Design

Black Panther took home another award courtesy of Hannah Beachler and Jay Hart.

Cinematography

Javier Bardem and Angela Bassett presented Alfonso Cuaron with the award for Best Foreign Film for the groundbreaking Netflix hit Roma. 

Sound Editing

John Warhurst and Nina Hartstone took home the award for Bohemian Rhapsody.

Sound Mixing

Paul Massey, Tim Cavagin and John Casali won big for Bohemian Rhapsody.

Foreign Language Film

Mexican film director took home his second award of the night for Best Foreign Language Film for his work in Roma. 

Best Editing

Another nod to Bohemian Rhapsody—John Ottoman took home the award for Best Editing.

Best Supporting Actor

Mahershala Ali scored one of the biggest awards of the night—Best Supporting Actor—for his role in If Beale Street Could Talk.

Animated Feature Film

Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller won the Oscar for Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse.

Animated Short Film

Becky Neiman-Cobb and Domee Shi won the Oscar for their animated short film, Bao. 

Documentary (Short Subject)

Melissa Berton and Rayka Zehtabchi scored the award for their short subject documentary, Period. End of Sentence.

Visual Effects

Ian Hunter, J.D. Schwalm, Paul Lambert, and Tristan Myles all won for their work in First Man.

Short Film (Live Action)

Guy Nattiv, and his wife (and actress) Jaime Ray Newman celebrated with a win for their short live action film, Skin.

Original Screenplay

Brian Currie, Peter Farrelly, Nick Vallelonga won Best Original Screenplay for Green Book. 

Writing (Adapted Screenplay)

Charlie Wachtel, David Rabinowitz, Kevin Willmott and Spike Lee scored a win for BlacKkKlansman.

Music (Original Score)

Ludwig Göransson celebrated his first Oscar win for his work on Black Panther. 

Best Original Song

Shallow by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt won the Oscar. 

Best Actor

The Best Actor award went to Rami Malek for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. 

Best Actress

Olivia Colman took home the Best Actress award for her role in The Favourite.

Best Director

Alfonso Cuaron won Best Director, his third award of the night for Roma.

Best Picture

And the Best Picture award goes to...Green Book!
