Miley Cyrus' late godmother, Dolly Parton, may have passed away, but their bond was so strong that the singer may be getting messages from the other side. The 33-year-old took the Hollywood Bowl by storm over the weekend, and things got emotional, then paranormal.

Dolly broke down in tears on Friday singing "Jolene"

After crying on stage Friday while performing Parton's "Jolene," Cyrus had a follow-up story Sunday, revealing that she tried to communicate with the country music icon using a mannequin modeled after Parton that she keeps in her bedroom.

“I actually have a Dolly mannequin in my bedroom. She gave it to me for Christmas. It’s dressed like her; it’s built like her,” Cyrus told the crowd.

The “7 Things” singer said she played “Jolene” on her phone while holding it up to the mannequin and lighting a candle. "I put a flower down for her,” she continued. “I said, ‘Dolly, if you’re here right now, flicker the lights.’”

According to Cyrus, the lights in her hallway began flickering. She wasn't the only one who saw the spiritual moment; her fiancé, Maxx Morando, was there to witness it too.

“So, I know she’s here with me tonight,” Cyrus said, adding that she felt Parton’s presence was helping her.  “I’m feeling some of the feelings that I’m most afraid of, and having her here with me is getting me through,” she told fans.

She said she feels her late godmother more than ever

The Hollywood Bowl held a special place in Cyrus heart because she watched Parton perform there, which is a reason she wanted to do the same.  “Sitting here with you all right now, feeling her all around me, knowing that she’s right here beside me, every day, more than she could be when she was here. I feel her more now than ever,” she said.

The singer described their bond as something death could not change, telling the crowd, “This memory is gold to me. Me and Dolly, we are eternal. Nothing in this life could ever tear us apart, and I’m gonna see her again.”

“And I can’t f***ing wait because I miss her,” she added.

Miley and Dolly's last conversation was about music

Cyrus said their last conversation was about music

Cyrus has been very open since Parton's death. The singer previously revealed that one of their final conversations centered on “music and metamorphosis,” a subject that became especially meaningful as Cyrus prepared to release her latest album.

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Cyrus explained that Parton had been the first person she sent a vinyl record to whenever she released one.

That tradition, she said, would continue even after her godmother’s death. “And this time around I’m going to send her a vinyl because I always do,” Cyrus said of Bass Persuades.

The Hannah Montana star also opened up about their final conversation, revealing that she had been telling Parton about the record.

“The time that we talked, which was the last time we would talk, it was actually me telling her about this record because even though we are so different, that’s what made us so perfect for each other,” she said.
