Jennifer Aniston and boyfriend Jim Curtis have largely kept their romance away from the spotlight, but Curtis is now sharing a surprisingly personal look at where their relationship stands.

During the August 31 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show, the 50-year-old hypnotherapist and author opened up about dating the Friends alum, revealing that the couple has been together for a year and a half and is still enjoying what he considers the “honeymoon phase.”

And according to Curtis, things between them are going very well. “It’s going really well,” Curtis said when asked for an update on his relationship with Aniston. He described his experience of the 57-year-old actress as “so grounded and so open and caring and kind and loving.”

Jim Curtis Says He Feels ‘Blessed’ to Be With Jennifer Aniston

Curtis did not hold back when discussing what he admires about Aniston. “I feel blessed to be in a relationship with someone that is so open-hearted and kind and loving,” he said during the interview.

His comments come after Aniston herself publicly praised Curtis.

In a November 2025 interview with ELLE, the actress called him “quite extraordinary” and spoke highly of his career helping people through hypnotism and other wellness practices. She also described him as “very special, very normal and very kind.”

That admiration now appears to be very much mutual.

Curtis also noted that Aniston uses affectionate language such as “my love” when talking about him. The actress previously made their relationship Instagram official in November 2025 with a birthday tribute to Curtis.

How Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis Handle Disagreements

Curtis also shared something more revealing than the typical celebrity relationship update: how the couple approaches conflict. “We do a lot of meditation, we do a lot of talk,” he explained.

During his conversation with Jamie Kern Lima, Curtis discussed how different relationship stages can require different tools for navigating disagreements.

For himself and Aniston, those tools currently include meditation, acceptance and understanding. Curtis confirmed that they have been together for about a year and a half and joked that they are still in an easier stage of the relationship. “In a honeymoon phase, your tools don’t have to be like big sledgehammers,” he said.

It is not the first time Curtis has spoken about the couple's communication style.

During an earlier appearance on the Ced with Intention podcast, Curtis acknowledged that spending significant time together can occasionally lead to small “flare-ups.” Rather than allowing frustration to linger, he said partners have the option to communicate, apologize, and make a genuine effort to prevent the same conflict from becoming a pattern.

Jennifer Aniston’s Friends Have Welcomed Jim Curtis Into the Family

One of the biggest themes to emerge from Curtis’ latest interview was not simply his connection with Aniston. It was his relationship with her famously close circle of friends. Curtis described Aniston as having a “group of best friends that are like family.”

That circle has long included stars such as Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Jason Bateman, as well as Bateman’s wife, Amanda Anka.

For Curtis, being accepted by the group clearly means something. “I feel incredibly blessed to be part [of] and welcomed into that family,” he said.

He went on to describe Aniston’s inner circle as a “beautiful community,” noting how grounded and kind he has found the people closest to her.

How Did Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis Meet?

Aniston and Curtis did not have a dramatic Hollywood meet-cute. Curtis previously explained during a January 2026 appearance on the Today show that mutual friends brought them into each other’s orbit. “We were just introduced by friends. That’s it,” Curtis said at the time.

The relationship was also a slow burn rather than an instant romance.

Curtis said they discovered they had mutual friends, began talking, and gradually became closer.

The couple first attracted widespread attention in summer 2025 when they were photographed vacationing together in Mallorca, Spain. Aniston later confirmed their romance on Instagram that November.

They also made their first public appearance as a couple at ELLE’s Women in Hollywood celebration in November 2025. During the event, Aniston’s longtime friend Adam Sandler publicly celebrated the relationship while introducing her.
