In photos shared over the weekend, Travolta was photographed at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where he served as host to The Official Ramones 50th Anniversary Tribute. The images show Travolta with a microphone during his speech, wearing a black Ramones shirt, black jeans, and a leather jacket. Completing the look were black sunglasses and a maroon beret.

Travolta was joined by Linda Ramone, the widow of Johnny Ramone, the guitarist and one of the band's founding members.

His attendance at the event was teased in a press release, with Travolta revealing that he was a big fan of the band and had seen one of their tributes some years ago.

"Two years ago, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Hollywood Forever Johnny Ramone Tribute for the first time," said Travolta. "It was a blast, and I want to return again for the Ramones tribute!"

Travolta's beloved berets

Earlier this year, John Travolta made headlines at the Cannes Film Festival, where he premiered his feature debut, "Propeller One-Way Night Coach." He was accompanied by his daughter, Ella Bleu

The two wore matching looks, with Ella wearing a black gown and Travolta wearing a three-piece suit with a white button-up and matching tie. Tying the whole look together was a cream colored beret, which sparked instant conversation

When asked about his beret, Travolta revealed that it had a connection to his new gig as a director, which comes after many years of starring in films and working with some of the most revered directors in Hollywood.

"The old-school directors wore berets and glasses. And I thought, that's what I'm doing," he said in an interview with CNN.

"I've been around for over 50 years doing movies, but I can't tell, when I look back, the difference between the events," he continued. "And I said, 'I'm a director this time. You're an actor; play the part of a director. Look like an old-school director.'"

It's unknown if Travolta will continue to pursue more projects to direct. In the meantime, he's scheduled to appear in several films that are in post-production, including "Black Tides," "That's Amore!" and "November 1963."
