Richard Gere has wasted no time getting back to work following his recent return to the United States with wife Alejandra Silva.
Just days after the couple celebrated the Fourth of July in New York with their family, the Hollywood star was spotted filming scenes for his upcoming romantic drama 'Asymmetry' on the streets of Manhattan.
The 76-year-old actor was photographed alongside actress Diana Silvers while shooting scenes for the film on Monday, July 13. The pair appeared relaxed between takes, smiling, chatting, and walking hand in hand as cameras rolled through one of New York City's neighborhoods.
The new project marks Gere's latest return to the big screen and reunites him with director Edward Zwick, with whom he previously collaborated on the 1996 thriller 'Courage Under Fire.' 'Asymmetry' is based on Lisa Halliday's acclaimed 2018 novel of the same name.
The story follows the relationship between a celebrated 70-year-old author, portrayed by Gere, and a young editorial assistant played by Silvers. Their unlikely romance begins after a chance encounter in Central Park and explores themes of love, ambition, power, and identity through an unconventional narrative.
For the scenes, Gere wore an understated olive-green shirt beneath a charcoal blazer with matching trousers and brown leather shoes, while Diana Silvers embraced effortless summer style in a charcoal sleeveless top paired with a black miniskirt. She completed the look with loafers, a black tote bag, and a pale yellow sweater casually draped over her shoulders.
The filming comes shortly after Gere and Alejandra Silva were seen enjoying an all-American holiday in New York with their children despite now calling Spain home.
Silva shared glimpses of the family's Fourth of July celebrations, including a boat ride around Manhattan, fireworks, and time outdoors, offering fans a rare look at their transatlantic lifestyle.
Although the couple relocated to Spain in recent months, Gere continues to divide his time between Europe and the United States as work commitments bring him back to New York. His latest appearance on the 'Asymmetry' set shows the actor balancing family life abroad with an active Hollywood career.
The film has already generated interest thanks to its acclaimed source material and the pairing of Gere with rising star Diana Silvers. While an official release date has yet to be announced, production is now underway in New York City.
