Conjoined twins Carmen and Lupita Andrade now: love, boundaries, and shutting down rumors

Carmen Andrade and Lupita Andrade first came into the spotlight through documentaries and TV specials that followed their day-to-day life growing up on networks like TLC.

Now at 26, Carmen is married, and they share updates on their Instagram accounts. This week, they revealed that they're working at Lilymoore Farm in Pleasant Valley, New York. 

The girls shared a day in their lives on the alpaca farm, where they give tours and take care of the animals. Back in 2016, when they were still in high school, they were enrolled in the agriscience program.

Throughout the years, they starred on programs like I Spent a Day With... (2017) and Two Sisters One Body (2020). They've done interviews, podcasts, and, most recently, starred in a comedy episode on YouTube. Last month, they were on Brandon Borde's episode of The Amazing Disabled Circus. The dark comedy went viral, with the girls' liking comments that said they did most of the writing.  

The sisters’ story has always drawn attention, partly because of how rare their condition is. Connected at the torso, they share a reproductive system, liver, and bloodstream, but have separate hearts, stomachs, and distinct personalities.

They were born in Mexico and raised in Connecticut, and were once told they might only live a few days, something that makes the life they’ve built now even more inspirational. 

That life includes navigating relationships in a very public way. Together, they have built a following by being open, and in October 2024, they made headlines when it was revealed that Carmen had gotten married. With people curious about how the relationship dynamic works, in a December 2025 episode of Rosanna Pansino's Rodiculous Podcast, they addressed rumors that Lupita “hates” her sister’s husband, Daniel McCormack.

On the podcast, they were asked what the biggest misconceptions are about them. “That I hate her husband!” Lupita said. The reality is actually the opposite because she was part of the reason the relationship even happened. “I’m the one who said, ‘You should choose that guy - he seems harmless,’” she explained, making it clear she’s been supportive from the start.

Carmen, who married McCormack after the two met on Hinge in 2020, echoed that energy, calling Lupita her “wingman” and dismissing the narrative of tension as a “weird misconception.”  

Carmen and Daniel’s relationship, which became official after years of getting to know each other, sparked curiosity about intimacy and boundaries. It’s something they’ve addressed before, often pushing back on invasive questions that cross the line from curiosity into something more uncomfortable. 

Daniel has been blunt about it, saying people are “obsessed” with the details, but ultimately, “it’s none of your f*****g business.”

When it comes to the future, the twins are just as clear. Kids aren’t part of the plan. “Personally, we are infertile,” Carmen shared, adding that she’s never really pictured herself as a parent. “I have mad respect for parents. Personally, I would fail at it. So I’d rather not f*** up a little guy.”
