Over the weekend, Melania Trump hosted the premiere of her first documentary in the White House. Titled "Melania," the documentary chronicles the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump's second inauguration as President, all through the eyes of Melania herself. The event was attended by numerous notorious personalities, among them Georgina Rodriguez, who flew to Washington, D.C., with some of her closest friends for the occasion.
Saturday’s screening was a special showing and marked the first time the president, his family, and close friends watched the full film. The event was confirmed by Marc Beckman, an external adviser and agent to the First Lady.
For the occasion, Rodríguez arrived wearing an all-black look featuring a below-the-knee skirt, a matching jacket, sheer tights, and black stilettos.
Her accessories made a statement. On her left ring finger, Rodríguez wore her multi-million-dollar engagement ring to Cristiano Ronaldo, which she paired with another radiant-cut diamond ring on her right hand. She completed the look with diamond-and-emerald earrings, a matching necklace, plus a red leather mini bag.
Rodríguez styled her dark hair in a side part with defined waves. She shared some moments of the evening on her social media, including an address to the audience from Melania herself, seen standing behind a podium and in front of a black backdrop with her name printed in white.
“How lucky to have attended the premiere. An experience as impressive as it was inspiring. Congratulations on your film, @melaniatrump, for the work behind it and for bringing it to life with such presence and sensitivity," wrote Rodriguez.
The event was attended by around 70 people, including many notable personalities, among them, Amazon’s Andy Jassy, Apple’s Tim Cook, the Queen Rania of Jordan, and Mike Tyson.
Melania shared her thoughts on social media, thanking the people who supported her at the screening. "I am deeply humbled to have been surrounded by an inspiring room of friends, family, and cultural iconoclasts at the White House last night. Each of these individuals each brought their unique vision to the world, making a lasting impression. Our personal stories endure time and serve as a reminder of our mutual obligation to one another. It was an honor to present my new film, MELANIA, ahead of its global launch."
According to The Guardian, guests were gifted with plenty of Melania merchandise, including framed screening tickets for the film, black and white cookies with Melania's name printed on them, limited editions of her memoir, black and white popcorn buckets, and more.
Rodriguez's remainder of her trip
In addition to attending the premiere, Rodríguez also shared photos from the rest of her trip. She added some snaps of her time sightseeing around Washington, D.C., where she stopped by iconic landmarks like the Washington Monument and the United States Capitol.
For her city tour, she embraced a daytime look made up of a knit set, brown suede heeled boots, a fur coat, a mini Birkin bag, and dark sunglasses.
