Brooklyn Peltz Beckham is hoping to keep a video away from the media. Days after Brooklyn opened up about his complicated dynamic with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, a source claims that there's video evidence of a moment that Brooklyn referenced in his statements, calling it one of the most "embarrassing" moments of his life.
The video in question shows Brooklyn and Victoria dancing at his wedding, a moment that Brooklyn alleges was orchestrated by his mother to undermine his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham.
“Brooklyn and Nicola are the only ones who have access to video,” said a source to PEOPLE.
“It’s an extremely embarrassing moment for them, and it would not be good for Brooklyn’s mental health to see this circulating online,” they continued. “It’s one of the most humiliating moments of his life, and he doesn’t want it to be seen by the world.”
Brooklyn and Nicola got married in 2022, in a large ceremony hosted in Palm Beach, Florida, with over 600 guests. Brooklyn discussed various events that took place on and around his wedding, straining his relationship with his family members. "My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead," wrote Brooklyn.
"She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment." Brooklyn also said that family members told him Nicola was "not blood" and "not family" before the wedding.
Brooklyn's desire to steer clear of his parents
Brooklyn's statements appear to definitely alter his relationship with his parents and siblings, with him writing that he doesn't "want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."
He makes it clear that Victoria does not approve of Nicola, with her having "repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable."
David and Victoria Beckham have yet to address Brooklyn's statement directly.
