Tom Brady has a new business venture

Brady is joining e-Med as their Chief Wellness Officer. The company is a digital health startup that wants to manage the high price tag of GLP-1 drugs, allowing more people access to them. "High-quality medical care should be accessible and delivered responsibly with decisions grounded in medical evidence and individual needs," said Brady in a statement.

"At eMed, the focus is on improving population health at scale by delivering best-in-class GLP-1 care to workforce populations. These medications can be truly game-changing but only when paired with the right clinical guidance and ongoing support to protect long-term health."

As a seven-time Super Bowl champion and one of the most notorious figures in the world of sports, Brady brings a label of credibility and notoriety that will likely benefit eMed in various ways.

The company statement shared that Brady's inclusion in the company comes at a pivotal time, as the industry is preparing to introduce other options for the medication, including an oral version of the drug.

In an interview with Bloomberg News, Brady shared why he decided to partner with eMed. “There are a lot of companies out there, but eMed stood out because they’re building something different; high-quality care, best-in-class service, top practitioners, all focused on prevention and long-term health,” he said. “That’s what I care about. I want to be part of something that could really help people.”

Brady is currently working as a sports analyst on FOX News

Over the past couple of years, GLP-1 drugs have become increasingly popular, helping many people lose weight by making them feel full.

While brands like Ozempic, Wegovy, and more have been linked with dozens of celebrities, they remain expensive and are excluded from most health insurance providers, thus remaining off-limits for the general public.

When it comes to Brady, he continues to explore new career paths following his retirement. Aside from his partnership with eMed, he's also entering his second season as a sports analyst on FOX News. Before that, Brady built his career in teams like the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, becoming a standout figure in football history and in the world of sports as a whole.
