Kai Trump has built a following on social media. The 18-year-old granddaughter of Donald Trump has become a media personality after she was featured in the 2024 Republican National Convention, speaking on behalf of her grandfather. Since Kai has continued to post photos and videos of her life, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her life as a young family member of the President of the United States.
Earlier this week, she made her first podcast appearance on "Impaulsive," hosted by Logan Paul and Mike Majlak.
Kai answered numerous questions about her life and her desire to play golf professionally. She also shared her insight on a very specific topic that's only been experienced by a specific group of people. "What's dating like?" asked Paul.
"To be honest, it's really awkward when you're going on a date with a guy, and there are two people behind you. It's a little weird," she said, prompting a surprised sound from Paul and his co-host.
"My thing is I try my best not to let it bother me. I've learned, especially during the past year that he's been President, I've had to learn to... 'Yes, they're following me,' but I've had to focus and pretend that they're not there."
Kai Trump's politics
Another topic that she broached in her chat with Paul and Majlak were Kai's personal politics, specifically in relation to Kamala Harris as Trump's 2024 opponent.
"To be honest with you, I stay out of politics completely," she said. "I don't want anything to do with politics because it's such a dangerous thing."
"I think if both sides had met in the middle, everyone would be much happier. There's a radical left, there's a radical right."
Kai related her argument to social media, an area in which she's well-versed. "There are a lot of people who get too extreme, and that's where social media really ties in. Because social media makes your feed really be one way or another. There's not a lot of middle. That makes some people crazy, and some people buy into it too much."
Even though she doesn't believe in the right or the left, she's a supporter of her grandfather. "There's no bad blood. I'm very much in the middle. Obviously, I support my grandpa, my family member. But that's pretty much it."
Kai is the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump. She's one of five kids, including Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.
