Lindsay Lohan, 39, is starting 2026 strong. The actress and mother of one shared a glimpse into her fitness routine, sharing a striking black-and-white photo of herself mid-workout on a Pilates reformer.
“Strong body. Clear mind. Open heart. Hello new year,” she wrote. Lindsay was dressed in a sleek, all-black outfit of leggings and a long-sleeved top, with her strawberry-blonde hair pulled into a neat bun as she focused on the session.
The star mixes Pilates with a bit of CrossFit, explaining to Bustle, “I love Pilates, and I mix it with a little CrossFit. Depending on what I want to focus on, sometimes my trainer is tougher on me – which I like, but I'll be like, 'Oh, I have to leave early today.' She's like, 'No, you don't.' But I love Pilates because it's gentle but effective, and I prefer that."
She continued, "Strength training is important, because, especially with age, you need to build strength more than anything. Aside from moving all the time with my son, which I consider a workout every day, Pilates is nice me-time to have.”
Since welcoming her son Luai in July 2023 with husband Bader Shammas, Lohan has emphasized fitness not just for herself but to keep up with toddler life. “I feel like exercise wasn't such a big thing in our generation – health and wellness weren't as big as they are now."
But with time and as you age, you realize the importance of it and how great you feel, and I value that. I crave those endorphins, and I want to be able to keep up with my children. I don't make excuses about it – it's just become a ritual," she told the publication.
Lindsay's family time during the holidays:
While Lohan usually keeps her family private, she shared rare photos of life with her 2-year-old son. On Saturday, she posted a cozy mother-son snow day photo, smiling as she crouched to Luai’s level, dressed in a dark blue hooded jacket decorated with cars.
Lohan’s husband, Bader Shammas, whom she married in 2022, was tagged in her Instagram Stories with a simple snowflake emoji. Over the summer, the star celebrated Luai’s second birthday with a heartfelt tribute, writing.
“Happy Birthday to our sunshine, our sweetest boy, our heart, Luai! Watching you grow has been the greatest joy of our life. You light up every room (and keep us all on our toes), and we are so proud to be your mama and daddy."
She continued, "You are the deepest love we have ever known, the wildest adventure, and the most beautiful purpose. You have given our lives a whole new meaning, and we are grateful every single day. Here is to another year of cuddles, giggles, and magic. Me and Daddy love you more than words can say.”
Motherhood has also influenced Lohan’s career choices. She explained to E! News. “I want to do things that my son can see. But I also want to do things that inspire me. Everything's changing… It’s a learning process—I'm having a different go at it. Figuring out what I want to do and how I want to do it.”
The couple has also shared playful family moments, like last Halloween, when the trio dressed as superheroes, Lohan as Batwoman, Shammas as Batman, and Luai as mini Batman. Lohan even recounted her toddler’s cheeky sense of humor.
"I have this thing, where I'm like, 'Luai, don't do that,’” she told E! News. “And this morning before I was going to say it, he's like, 'Don't do that, Luai,' and looked at me and I was like, 'Oh my god, he's mocking me.’"
Lohan’s wellness and skincare secrets:
Beyond fitness, Lohan has refined a holistic approach to health and skincare. She credits post-pregnancy lifestyle changes for inspiring a more conscious routine. Speaking with The Blast, she shared, “That's what made me rethink my whole routine and diet… My skin became really sensitive.”
She maintains a morning regimen featuring eye patches, ice-cold water on her face, chia-seed water, green tea, and a homemade juice blend of carrot, ginger, lemon, olive oil, and apple. She also indulges in pickled beets, incorporating them into her meals whenever possible.
In an Elle interview, Lohan elaborated. “I’m very specific, because I’m crazy about my skin and health… I’m trying out some serums now that I’m doing – I’m testing them.”
She also sees her Los Angeles dermatologist, Dr. Monika Kiripolsky, for consistent care, though specifics remain confidential. Lohan has experimented with treatments like lasers and Botox, describing her approach as “very specific” and customized to her post-pregnancy skin needs.
Reflecting on 2025:
Lohan began the year by reflecting on 2025, sharing a video montage of personal highlights, including moments with her husband, son, and Freakier Friday co-star Jamie Lee Curtis.
She captioned it, “Thank you 2025 for the love, the memories, and the moments that mattered most. Stepping into 2026 with a full heart, grounded, hopeful, and deeply grateful for this beautiful life, my husband, my son, and my family.”
