Cardi B is stepping into 2026 with a message for anyone who’s been weighing in on her personal life. After a few tense days online, the rapper finally addressed the scrutiny she’s faced over her relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs and the early days of their life as new parents.
Cardi’s message, delivered from the comfort of her own bed in a relaxed Christmas-posture moment, came with a caption that summed it all up, “We need a reset.”
“Y’all been dragging me for three or four days, and y’all been a little too mean,” Cardi said with a laugh in the clip posted on X. “I can’t change s--t. I can’t go back in time. I already had a baby. Y’all want me to put my baby back in my p-- You want me to leave my man and f-- yours? What y’all want me to do? We can only go forward now.”
The rapper’s words come after a Christmas that wasn’t exactly picture-perfect by social media standards. Stefon Diggs, who has children with other women, spent the holiday apart from Cardi and their newborn son, a situation that sparked online chatter.
He shared photos on Instagram of himself celebrating with his other kids, including captions like, “One of my boys first Christmas,” which fueled speculation about the couple’s family dynamic.
Friends close to Cardi have offered some clarity. Celebrity blogger and Cardi’s longtime friend KenBarbie (Ken Davis) explained that the split holiday celebrations were largely logistical. “Cardi has her own kids, Stefon does too,” Ken wrote online. “If baby moms are on some ‘my kids can’t come unless I’m there’ then that’s just what it is… They’re still a fairly new couple, so sh-- would just have to be figured over time. It is what it is.”
Ken went on to defend the Grammy winner, noting, “If Stefon didn’t spend the holiday with his kids, that would be insane. Cardi has three other kids, and who’s talking them around all those different energies? There’s really no breaking news here.”
Indeed, Cardi’s life is busy beyond the family drama. January will mark the beginning of her “Little Miss Drama” tour, and she’s preparing for long days of rehearsals. “I’m gonna be away from my babies, away from my personal life, away from home. I need my support system, my fans, to love me,” she said in the video.
“I want y’all to come to my tour and enjoy yourselves with me. Don’t be dragging me. That’s enough.” She closed with a candid plea. “Leave me alone, though. Damn, y’all scare me sometimes!”
Cardi and Diggs welcomed their first child together, a son, in November. The couple’s relationship is still fresh, but the rapper’s family life is already complex. Cardi is also mom to three children with her estranged husband Offset: daughter Kulture, 7, son Wave, 4, and daughter Blossom, 15 months.
Diggs is father to daughter Nova, born in 2016, and Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, born in April 2025 with model Aileen Lopera. The Christmas posts from both parents highlighted just how intertwined, and at times complicated, modern blended families can be.
Cardi shared a sweet holiday snap featuring her newborn son. Diggs reshared the image on his Instagram Stories, writing playfully, “Miss yaw!!! Don’t be squeezing him too tight you making him soft,” as he commented on Cardi’s makeup-free holiday glow.
Despite the social media speculation, sources close to the couple suggest that their relationship remains strong. Cardi was seen supporting Diggs at the New England Patriots game against the New York Jets on December 28, signaling that the pair is still very much connected even amid parenting logistics and public scrutiny.
