Jake Paul might be in too much pain to sing his girlfriend happy birthday after his jaw surgery, but he can still type. On Tuesday, the 28-year-old shared a gallery of photos to celebrate his Olympian boo Jutta Leerdam's birthday.
"Happy birthday to my baby Jut. I love you," Jake wrote in the caption. Leerdam, who is now 27, looked gorgeous and fit in the photos wearing a pink gown. In the mix were also some memories, like them smiling on a private jet, what looks like a hunting trip, and an old photo of her as a little girl.
He began dating the Dutch speedskater in 2023, and they announced their engagement in March 2025.
They've been there for each other for the highs and lows, including the recent disappointment at the Olympic Trials when she lost her balance and crashed out, leaving the ice in tears. Watching from the stands, he shared a picture of her on his IG story, writing, "So proud of you warrior @juttaleerdam."
Jake's new jaw
The YouTuber turned boxer had surgery a week ago after his Netflix fight with Anthony Joshua was stopped in the sixth round. Jake said he sustained a 'double broken jaw.'
After his surgery on Saturday, he thanked fans for the love and said he was experiencing "Lots of pain and stiffness" and had to be on a liquid diet for seven days. He thanked the team at Miami University Hospital and said he had two titanium plates on each side inserted and teeth removed.
Anthony Joshua updates
Jake's post comes after he sent his prayers to Joshua. The 36-year-old boxer was involved in a fatal car accident in Nigeria, which took the lives of his two close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele.
“Life is much more important than boxing. I am praying for the lost lives, AJ [Anthony Joshua], and anyone impacted by today’s unfortunate accident,” Jake wrote on Instagram. “RIP Sina Ghami and Kevin ‘Latif / Latz’ Ayodele. My thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends and AJ [Anthony Joshua].”
The men who have been in Joshua's corner throughout his boxing career were killed instantly on Monday morning when the Lexus SUV they were inside hit a parked lorry on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Makun. Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Police Commander of Nigeria’s Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, said their tire burst because of excessive speed, per The Sun.
Joshua is in stable condition and currently under observation and will reportedly remain in the hospital until the new year. A video of him leaving the vehicle showed him yelling in pain.
