Ricky Martin is in full celebration mode as he recently marked his 24th birthday on Christmas Eve, coinciding with another special day—the birthday of his daughter Lucía, whom he shares with his ex-husband Jwan Yosef. Lucía turned 7 on the same day as her father, making it a double celebration in the singer’s home. Despite their divorce in July 2023, Ricky and Jwan have maintained a close and cordial relationship for the sake of their children.
Valentino, one of Ricky's twins, took to social media to share a heartfelt birthday message for both his father and his little sister. The 17-year-old, known as “Tino,” posted a collage of photos on his Instagram Stories, featuring birthday wishes for the two. One image shows a young Ricky holding baby Valentino, accompanied by the caption, “Happy birthday, Dad” in English. Alongside this, Tino included a photo of himself cradling newborn Lucía, with the message, “Happy birthday, Lucía.”
Jwan Yosef reacted to Tino’s touching birthday message by sharing it and commenting, “The sweetest and cutest Valentino,” complete with a heart emoji. Tino’s gesture garnered attention on social media, and Ricky Martin himself reposted his son’s birthday message on his Instagram Stories, along with greetings from friends and colleagues. Expressing his love and gratitude, Ricky wrote, “I love you so much, son.”
Their good relationship continues to be evident as Ricky and Jwan, despite their separation over two years ago, prioritize maintaining a healthy dynamic for their children, Lucía, 7, and Renn, 6. Jwan also shares a fond bond with Ricky’s older twins, having lived with them for more than six years.
In their joint statement announcing the separation, both emphasized the importance of nurturing a healthy family environment. “Our greatest wish now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on our genuine friendship while we share the upbringing of our children,” they stated. More than two years later, they have honored this commitment for the well-being of their kids.
