Christina Aguilera took to Instagram on Thursday, December 18th, sharing a series of photos that captured moments from her special day. The “Fighter” singer fully embraced the Christmas spirit for the holiday-themed bash, donning a white dress that clung to her slender frame, paired with white fishnets, glittery red heels, and a polka dot beanie hat resting atop her curled, flowing blonde locks.
The collection of images also gave fans a glimpse at her candy cane birthday cake, an outdoor dinner set beneath twinkling white lights, and a balloon-covered table where guests gathered to celebrate and shower her with gifts.
The star has recently sparked online speculation over her dramatic 50 pound weight loss, which she debuted in 2023. Christina captioned the photo carousel simply: “feeling the birthday love.”
In 2023, HELLO! magazine reported that the “Dirrty” hitmaker had shed more than 40 pounds over the years after capping her daily food intake to 1,600 calories. It was said she achieved this through the Rainbow Diet, which encourages eating colorful fruits and vegetables that correspond to different nutrients and phytonutrients. It was also reported that the Pitch Perfect 2 actress eats plenty of whole foods, including fish with rice and vegetables.
Despite ongoing conversations around her appearance, Christina has long pushed back against diet culture and public scrutiny. In 2020, she told L’Officiel, “I’m not going on a diet, get over it."
“Each of us is an individual, and people judge you based on your differences, on what makes you unique. You have to accept that beauty and to hell with everything else.”
Ultimately, Christina, who shares son Max, 17, with ex-husband Jordan Bratman, and daughter Summer, 10, with fiancé Matthew Rutler, continues to embrace her curves. In 2021, she told Health magazine, “I think we all have our good days and our bad days in how we feel about ourselves."
“Entering this business, I hated being super skinny. Once I turned 21, I started filling out a little bit, and I was loving my new curves. I appreciated having a booty. I have always said that women are way more interesting to look at than men. “I have a hard time looking at the early pictures of myself because I remember feeling so insecure.”
