Some red carpet moments linger long after the flashbulbs fade, and Gwen Stefani’s appearance at the 'Oh. What. Fun.' premiere earlier this month is definitely one of them. Earlier this month, the 56 year old singer attended the New York City screening in a sheer, statement making ball gown that felt equal parts festive fantasy and high fashion.
Gwen arrived at the premiere on December 2, 2025, wearing a striking two tone Vera Wang Spring 2024 ready to wear gown that looked as though it had been wrapped like a holiday gift. The dramatic design featured a visible black corset bodice, a voluminous black tulle waist, and a black tulle mermaid skirt.
A soft layer of light green tulle floated over the gown, adding an unexpected pop of color and a playful finish that leaned fully into the holiday spirit. She styled her signature platinum blonde hair sleek and straight, letting the dress take center stage, and completed the look with gleaming bracelets, bold rings, a statement necklace, and pale pink nails.
The appearance was especially fitting given Gwen’s connection to the film. Her holiday track Shake the Snow Globe appears on the movie’s soundtrack, and she was joined at the premiere by several of the film’s stars, including Michelle Pfeiffer, Felicity Jones, and Chloë Grace Moretz.
Gwen has previously admitted she felt nervous about taking on the challenge of writing a song specifically for the movie.
“This is the first time I’ve ever been asked to write a song for a specific moment in a film,” she said in a statement. “It made me nervous, excited, and inspired to take on the challenge of creating a Christmas song that feels up tempo, nostalgic, and reflects the sentiment of the movie, Oh. What. Fun.”
Earlier this fall, Gwen shared a preview of the song’s sparkly music video on Instagram on November 5, writing, “The holidays are so magical, and I wanted this video to capture the sparkle and joy of the season.”
The festive film, ‘Oh. What. Fun’ was released on December 3rd, 2025. The story follows Claire Clauster, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, whose family fails to appreciate the effort she puts into creating Christmas magic each year until she unexpectedly goes missing, forcing them to finally recognize everything she does for them.
