Lily Collins got to meet one of her idols. In a new appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Collins discussed the upcoming season of "Emily in Paris," where she sports a bob haircut inspired by Victoria Beckham's iconic hairstyle from the Spice Girls' era. As she talked about the new season of the show and her hair, she received a surprise from Beckham herself, who walked out onstage.
Collins' appearance on the show kicked off with her and Fallon discussing her bond with the Spice Girls, a topic the two had talked about back when she first visited his show. "It's a very deep love," said Collins sincerely. Fallon also brought up the fact that she said she was in her "Posh era" the last time they saw each other. "I hope I never leave my Posh era," said Collins.
Fallon then showed some photos to the audience, comparing Collins' bob to Beckham's, prompting laughs from the audience. "She will always do it better," said Collins. "When I was on set this season, I definitely was inspired by the cut."
Fallon surprised her by bringing Beckham out from backstage, with Collins growing visibly emotional and teary-eyed. Collin stuttered through her shock. "This is... This is... Yeah," she said. "This just happened."
Beckham then discussed her iconic hairstyle and praised Collins, sharing that her cut is much shinier and sharper than the one she used to have. She also shared the backstory of her iconic nickname.
"I was given that nickname because I used to like nice clothes and nice restaurants. In fact, it really helped me out because, in the Spice Girls, the other girls didn't like designer clothes. So when we would do videos or go on stage, they were happy to wear all the free stuff, and I got all the budget," she said.

Why 'Emily in Paris' has caused arguments between countries
"Emily in Paris" has been one of Netflix's greatest hits, following the story of an American expat who's working in Paris and making new friendships and connections with the city's residents.
Last season, Emily spent some time in Rome, a moment that prompted some arguments between the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtie. "It's a bit of a European love triangle," said Collins.
Collins also threw in another world leader who's interested in her show. "The Prime Minister of Greece recently said that his wife's favorite show is 'Emily in Paris' and that after a long day at the office, his favorite thing to do is to go home and watch it with her. I was like... 'What?!"
The fifth season of the series premieres this December 18th.
