The photo was posted during a period of transition for the singer, who has been focusing on family and stability following her separation from Eric Johnson. Her latest post highlights the comfort she finds in motherhood and sets the tone for a heartfelt holiday ahead as she moves forward.
The forty-five-year-old singer and her forty-six-year-old estranged husband, Eric Johnson, whom she announced her split from in January after ten years of marriage, have Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and 6-year-old Birdie. And Jessica shared the cute photo of the trio, who helped their mom to prepare for the holiday season, on her Instagram account on Thursday, December 24, 2025.
The With You singer captioned the image, which saw her brood pose in front of Christmas decor, with: "Christmas time is here! What the month of December brings to my kiddos has always been about the genuine feelings of love, excitement, hope, happiness, grace, and pure JOY! Wishin’ you and yours all the many blessings this month has to offer y’all’s hearts."
In the photo, Ace and Max rested their arms on Birdie’s head, whilst she flashed a beaming smile.
The holiday treat came a week after Jessica told her supporters that she had a "family first" Thanksgiving on November 27, 2025, including with her ex, Eric.
The Irresistible singer, who said there was a seat at the table for him at her mom Tina Ann Drew's home, told TMZ: "It’s my kids’ father. Family first. "No matter what, your kid is half the other person. Always have respect for what you say around [your kids] so they can always have a good perspective on it. Unconditional love is important."
In October, Jessica admitted that she never imagined being single in her forties. The chart-topping singer told People, "I feel like we get caught up in numbers."
"Like, 'Oh, at forty-five, would I think that I would be single again as a mom of three?' Absolutely not. That was not how I planned it. But it's just a part of what destiny holds for me."
