Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are stepping into their first holiday season as an engaged couple, but the details of their Thanksgiving plans remain private. What is clear is that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end already has one commitment, and that is the football field.
Kelce will take on the Dallas Cowboys in an away game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Thursday, November 28, with kickoff scheduled for 4:30 P.M. ET. Whether Swift will join him for the game is still uncertain. The pop superstar has not attended any of Kelce’s away games this season, or last, reportedly due to security concerns, and the couple has generally kept a low profile throughout 2025.
Last Thanksgiving, the pair managed to celebrate in private. According to People, Swift hosted their families in Nashville, marking the first time they shared the holiday together. “Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families,” a source told People. “It’s the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together.”
While the couple’s schedule is tight, a source told Us Weekly on October 29 that they plan a relaxed, family-centric holiday season. "It will be very low-key, family-centric, and [won’t involve any] major travel,” the source said. “They are planning to split time with their respective families.”
The same insider added, “Travis fits right in with her family, and Taylor adores [his mom] Donna. They talk all the time. They make sure to see both sides as often as they can. They are super family-oriented, and they have always loved that about one another.”
Kelce’s Christmas schedule is equally demanding, as he is slated to play a home game on Christmas Day. Swift attended his 2023 Christmas matchup with her family but has kept a lower profile at his games throughout 2025.
Even as she balances holiday plans, Swift is preparing for a major return to the public eye. Her six-part Disney+ docuseries, 'The End of an Era,' chronicles her final Eras Tour performance. The first two episodes drop on December 12, with two more released weekly through December 26.
The series trailer features glimpses of Kelce, teasing a rare behind-the-scenes look at their relationship. Swift has made frequent appearances at Chiefs games since she began dating Kelce in 2023.
Most recently, she watched him lead Kansas City to a 23-20 overtime win against the Indianapolis Colts, sneaking into Arrowhead Stadium to support her fiancé. Fans spotted her in a VIP suite alongside Kelce’s childhood friend, Aric Jones, enjoying a celebratory moment.
Her presence marked a timely return, as the Chiefs fight to stay in playoff contention, having secured just six wins in 11 games so far this season. Social media fans were quick to notice her joyful demeanor.
Despite missing some games in 2025, including the Chiefs’ 22-19 loss to the Denver Broncos, Swift has remained an integral part of Kelce’s football journey while balancing wedding planning. The couple has reportedly been eyeing a $32 million Rhode Island mansion as a potential wedding venue, though Swift has paused planning to cheer on her fiancé on the field.
