Cardi B has shared the first photo of her newborn baby. Welcomed earlier this month, Cardi has shared her baby's birthdate and gender, but has kept some details to herself. In her first post, Cardi sent a sweet shout-out to her boyfriend and baby daddy, Stefon Diggs, sharing some of the joy that the two have been experiencing over the past weeks.
The photos were a part of Cardi's most recent Instagram post. They granted her followers the first look at her son and contained four photos, documenting some special moments of her son's first days. One of the photos shows Cardi holding on to her newborn as she sits on a teal couch, sitting next to an adorable elephant plushie. She wears a matching robe and looks happy, peacefully holding on to her son.
Her baby is seen wearing a matching New England Patriots' wrapping and onesie, a reference to his dad, Stefon Diggs, who's a professional football player for that team.
Another photo shows a closer look at the sleeping baby, with another one capturing Cardi and Diggs shortly after the baby's birth, both inside a hospital room holding on to their newborn.
"11/4," Cardi captioned the post, sharing the baby's birth date. She also added some emojis, including one of an elephant, a grey heart, and a football. The baby marks her fourth child, and her first with Diggs. She's also a mom to Kulture, Blossom, and Wave, whom she shares with her ex Offset.
For his part, Diggs is the father of two daughters, Nova and Charliee.
Cardi released an album this year, and has been working hard on her music as she prepares to welcome her child. She's spoken about the experience in the past months, sharing the news with Gayle King on a pre-taped interview. "I'm happy," she said. "I feel like I'm in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful that I'm doing all this work, but I'm doing all this work while I'm creating a baby."
More details about Cardi and Diggs
Cardi and Diggs have been together for the past year, with the two first linked romantically in October 2024. They made their first public appearance in May of the following year, going to a New York Knicks game together at Madison Square Garden.
Cardi first addressed their relationship on the interview with King, where she shared why she took her time to make a public statement. "I just was like, 'Can I just say it on my own time?' Like, I'm not hiding," she said. "On my time, on my own terms."
She also addressed her divorce and long relationship with Offset, and how left her at a vulnerable place to start dating again, with the couple having an on-and-off relationship that began in 2017, including two marriages and divorces. She said Diggs made her feel safe when they first started dating.
"One time he just told me. ‘Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you.’ And it’s like, ‘Okay,'" she said.
