Melissa McCarthy is one of the many celebrities on a weight loss journey, and she's been beaming. Last night, she stole the spotlight at the ELLE Women in Hollywood 2025 celebration, looking radiant.

With any major celebrity weight loss story, there has been speculation that McCarthy is taking a weight loss drug like Ozempic, which is her right and business.

Even Barbra Streisand was curious. Last year in April, McCarthy shared a photo on her IG with director Adam Shankman. Streisand, 82, was in the comments writing, "Give him my regards, did you take Ozempic?" She deleted it, but it was too late; screenshots live forever, and it went viral.

Streisand addressed the comment on her IG Story, saying, “She looked fantastic! I just wanted to pay her a compliment. I forgot the world is reading!”

McCarthy also responded in the best way, neither denying nor confirming the question. She shared a video on IG  holding a copy of a magazine titled Barbra: Celebrating an Icon. “The takeaway, Barbra Streisand knows I exist. She reached out to me, and she thought I looked good! I win the day," she said in the clip.

McCarthy has been candid about her personal journey with weight and how the shift came when she stopped obsessing over it. “I finally said [to myself], ‘Oh for God’s sake, stop worrying about it,’ and it may be the best thing I’ve ever done,” she told CBS back in 2015.

“I truly stopped worrying about [my weight]. I stopped over-analyzing, over-thinking, and over-doing anything. I just stopped constantly being worried about it, and I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked," she continued.

She’s tried extreme diets in the past - like a four-month, doctor-supervised all-liquid plan during her Gilmore Girls days, which left her “starved and crazy.” She lost 70 pounds in four months but vowed, "I’d never do that again." “I felt starved and crazy half the time," she told PEOPLE in 2011.

She's also addressed the world's fascination with her weight. "The thing is, if that is the most interesting thing about me, I need to go have a lavender farm in Minnesota and give this up," she told Refinery29 in 2016.

"There has to be something more. There are so many more intriguing things about women than their butt or their this or their that. It can't be the first question every time, or a question at all," the Genie star continued.
