Eva Longoria has done it again! Just weeks after debuting a sleek, collarbone-grazing lob at the Academy Museum Gala on October 18, the 'Desperate Housewives' alum took her hair even shorter, unveiling her shortest cut in nearly two years.
Fans got a behind-the-scenes look at the transformation when Longoria shared an Instagram reel capturing the moment she sat in the chair of celebrity stylist Ken Paves, the man behind some of the most coveted bobs in Hollywood.
“When @kenpaves comes over,” she captioned the post, showing off her new shoulder-length bob styled with textured, Y2K-approved mermaid waves. Her son Santiago, 7, pops in for a brief moment, adding a sweet family moment to the glam reveal.
Paves, who regularly styles both Eva and her longtime friend Victoria Beckham, opted for a deep side part and tousled texture, enhancing the warm copper highlights. The result is a cut that is effortlessly chic, full of volume, and perfectly suited for the autumn season.
Eva has been experimenting with haircuts and color for years, from her signature long brunette locks to collarbone-grazing lobs. She debuted a similar bob at the 2023 Academy Women’s Luncheon, sporting a middle-parted layered style that fell just below her chin.
At the time, she paired the cut with a black-and-white checkered Chanel jacket, sequined top, high-waisted navy slacks, and her signature red lipstick.
The stylist behind the current look is no stranger to celebrity hair transformations. Famous for crafting Victoria Beckham’s signature bobs, he is often spotted alongside Posh Spice at family celebrations and events, most recently at Sir David Beckham’s knighthood dinner at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
Longoria’s bob is very much in step with current celebrity hair trends. Over the past few months, stars from Sydney Sweeney to Kendall Jenner have debuted everything from bright blonde bobs to voluminous curls, making this season the perfect moment for the chic hairstyle.
Eva’s latest cut closely mirrors Victoria’s signature wavy lob, a style she has sported on and off since spring. The transformation has already inspired fans to pick up their own scissors, or at least book a salon appointment.
“I love it! You are encouraging me to cut my hair,” one person wrote under her post, while someone else commented, “Yaaas! A bob looks nice on you. I loved when you did the bob on Desperate Housewives as well.”
