Khloé Kardashian is showing once again that she’s the queen of grace under pressure and forgiveness. More than a decade after an uncomfortable on-air moment that left both women cringing, the "Kardashians" star is making it clear she holds no grudges toward Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie.

It all started back in 2012, when Guthrie asked Khloé about long-standing tabloid rumors questioning her paternity. The question came right before a commercial break, leaving little room for sensitivity or follow-up. Guthrie has since called the moment one of the most embarrassing of her career.

It all started back in 2012, when Guthrie asked Khloé about long-standing tabloid rumors questioning her paternity.

“I asked Khloé Kardashian, like, 10 seconds before we were going to break about the rumors that her father wasn’t her father,” Guthrie recalled during the Oct. 20 episode of Today. “That was so bad.” She admitted she didn’t even want to ask the question but felt pressured by producers to deliver what they called a “dishy question.”

“At the very end, we were like, ‘And Khloé, like, what about this rumor that Robert Kardashian’s not really your father?’ And they were like, ‘10, nine, eight…’ and I was so embarrassed,” Guthrie added, laughing at the memory.

Khloé’s Classy Reaction

Back then, Khloé brushed off the question with humor, replying, “I don’t know who my daddy is, I guess.” It was an answer that instantly diffused tension and showcased her trademark wit and resilience.

Even Guthrie praised Khloé’s poise during that awkward exchange. “She was like, ‘Ah, nothing to it.’ We made the break. I asked the question, Khloé was a total class act,” Guthrie said.

Forgiveness on Instagram

Fast forward to October 21, 2025. Khloé caught wind of Guthrie’s candid confession on Today and decided to publicly extend kindness. Commenting on an E! News Kards Katch Up post about the moment, Khloé wrote, “She’s a doll! It takes a big person to take accountability and I just love her!” followed by several heart and crown emojis.

Her response was gracious, forgiving, and full of warmth. Fans quickly flooded the comment section, applauding both women for turning an uncomfortable chapter into a moment of mutual respect and growth.

Remembering Robert Kardashian Sr.

Khloé’s late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., passed away in 2003 at age 59 from esophageal cancer. He’s survived by his four children — Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob Kardashian — and remains a deeply loved figure in their family.

Robert was born on February 22nd, 1944 and he married Kris Jenner (who was Kris Houghton at the time) in 1978, and they had four children, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Robert Kardashian Jr.

In recent years, Khloé has been more open about the pain of losing her father, as well as the impact of public scrutiny during her rise to fame. On her Khloé in Wonderland podcast earlier this year, she reflected on a particularly emotional filming moment during the first season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

“I was like, ‘Why are they making me sit in this dark room and talk about something I don’t wanna talk about?’” she shared, recalling how producers pushed her to discuss her dad’s death. But she admitted that ultimately, the moment became healing. “It was as if a house got lifted off of me after that conversation. That was the last time that I cried when talking about my dad, in a bad way.”
