Without a doubt, Stella Banderas’s wedding has been the most talked-about event of the year. This past weekend, the daughter of Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith tied the knot with entrepreneur Alex Gruszynski at Abadía Retuerta, a former monastery turned luxury winery and hotel nestled in the Ribera del Duero region of Valladolid, Spain.
Among the 250 guests in attendance was, of course, the proud mother of the bride. Following the lavish celebration, Melanie Griffith made her way to Madrid before departing Spain, making some time for an intimate and elegant lunch with her long-time friend and business partner Charles Rosier, co-founder of the fan-favorite skincare brand Augustinus Bader.
The exclusive gathering took place at Ramón Freixa Tradición, the newly opened restaurant from the celebrated chef, located in Madrid’s upscale Salamanca district. The table was graced with classic Spanish delicacies, including the ever-iconic jamón ibérico during a glamorous evening.
The lunch came together quickly after news broke that Griffith would be in Spain for her daughter’s wedding, as it included a star-studded guest list. Among those joining the actress and Rosier were well-known friends of the brand like Hiba Abouk, Mishel Gerzig, Ana Antic, and Cristina Reyes.
Charles Rosier welcomed guests for what became a celebration of both friendship and beauty, with Melanie Griffith as the guest of honor. Her bond with Augustinus Bader runs deep, having supported the brand since its earliest days.
According to ABANUC, the exclusive distributor of Augustinus Bader in Spain, Andorra, and Portugal, and the organizer of this special event, Griffith is more than a celebrity supporter, she’s also an investor, who believed in the healing balm created by Dr. Bader from the very beginning and chose to become part of the project.
That was back in 2018, when the brand officially launched after over 30 years of scientific research. Since then, her relationship with the company has only grown stronger.
Griffith’s connection to Augustinus Bader is also personal, as her daughters, Stella Banderas and Dakota Johnson, use the producrs daily.
The brand’s award-winning formulas are known for their transformative powers, boosting radiance, firmness, and overall skin vitality. Among the standout favorites are The Elixir (an ultra-concentrated serum) and The Face Cream Mask.
It's likely Stella turned to these luxurious products as part of her skincare prep ahead of her big day. Griffith frequently shares updates about the brand on her social media, including photos from various events with Rosier.
